Not many are involved deeply enough with another to know the makings of Love. There
can be no love until it is a true and complete commitment. The essence of love is found in one word, Trust. To trust
another enough that you would lay down your life in honor of the others trust. How would one person find in their
heart what the other feels unless it is based on trust. The amount that we trust another will dominate what we
feel in terms of love for him, but how one feels is not the judgement of love, and how we trust will say more than
volumes. Where in our loves have we trusted another completely? Look there for love.
Can any of us really say then that we love another without committing ourselves
to trust? How else would you know of love if it were not through trust?
What keeps love going for a lifetime, is something that will not change.
Trust is not a feeling any more then love could be. Feelings are emotional and our
emotions change often. We say we love when we feel good about another, or how someone makes us feel. What happens
when they no longer make us feel. What happens during adversity, calamity, or poverty? Do our feelings then change?
How one loves is not a measurement of feelings. How one loves is not in any way
based upon emotions. We may need today, and tomorrow when those needs change , where are we? Can we then call it love?
