A
Hebrew View of Messiah Hebrew Wedding -- Biblical Custom
In Biblical
times when a Hebrew man wished to have the hand of a Hebrew woman in Marriage, he would visit the father of his future bride
to discuss the price that would be necessary for her hand. During this meeting would be discussed his intent, and the price
that would be paid for his bride negotiated.
The Groom then made a visit
to his intended Bride to present himself to her with plans for the future and their commitment to each other, should their
desire be mutual.
Upon presenting to her
his plans, and seeing her response, he would pass a cup of wine to her. This was the moment of truth for their course of action.
To drink of the cup would be her acceptance to his proposal and a life long commitment to him. To pass on the cup would end
the relationship. This moment in her life was very important. To drink from the cup meant Betrothal,
establishment of a marriage covenant, set apart exclusively for her husband.
Sharing the cup, with eyes
on each other, hearts soaring, the Groom would promise with words like this: Let not your heart
be troubled. In my Father's house there are many rooms, and I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place
for you, I will come again to take you unto myself that where I am you will be also. If it were not true I would not have
told you.
The moment she drank from
the cup her intentions were sealed, and when the price was paid The Covenant was sealed. She was betrothed to
him, separated from the world as she then waited for his return. She was not then His Wife, but was then a Bride in
waiting.
He then would return to His Father's
house to prepare their Bridal Chamber-Huppah and He would continue in preparation until
His Father said that it was finished. He would not know when the room was finished, only the Father knew. So the Son continued
preparing until Word came from His Father that preparations were complete. During his absence which could be a day, week,
month, a year or longer, the Bride would wait and put together her wedding dress, in preparation for Her Groom's Return.
During
his absence she wore a veil, a symbol of her Set-Apartness, and would not be seen by strangers. Her commitment was played
out during this waiting period and none were aloud to interfere. She would prepare by day, and wait by night for her Groom.
Her dowry kept her busy as her heart longed for that moment when He would return for Her and take Her onto Himself.
When the Groom finished
preparation of the Bridal Chamber according to His Father's approval, a torchlight procession led by the Groom, with His Best
Man and members from the wedding party proceeded to the home of the Bride to claim His Waiting Wife. This event usually happened
at night. The Bride needed to be ready at a moments notice, for her only announcement came by a
shout from the best man. Her dowry prepared by day, and waiting by night with her lamp light on in anticipation of
His Coming, Listening for the shout, night by night, not knowing when or what moment, being readily prepared to trim Her Lamp and go to be received by Her Husband kept her busy looking forward to Her Wedding Day.
Once received, the wedding party returned
to the Father's house to find the Father had prepared a Magnificent Wedding Feast.
Members of the wedding party would escort
the Bride and Groom to the Huppah, Hebrew for bridal chamber. The best man would wait
outside the bridal chamber to hear a prearranged signal that the marriage was consummated, (John 3:29). That began a seven-day
celebration with all the guests and the wedding party, but the bride remained hidden within the Huppah
until the Groom brought her out unveiled after the seven days were completed. Now the guests could see the Bride without
the veil as she joined in the festivities, and for life to celebrate with Her Husband the wonderful bonds of total commitment
in their marriage. In the flesh, the Veil that covers us is The Flesh. By looking upon the flesh, we cannot tell the
Bride in waiting from the Tares/Darnel. All Veils look approximately the same. The only difference is what is
beyond that Veil; what lurks beneath in the Heart, and whom is that heart waiting for. This is all played out in our
Walk, and within our walk, it is necessary to carry with us enough OIL for the journey. The Journey here on this earth
is a Seven Day trip-Seven thousand years long Walk among like minds and unfaithful X-virgins, from whom we are unable to tell
the difference by sight, but from the Walk-Works-Oil in their lamps, we have our first clue of who we will dine with at the
Magnificent Wedding Feast prepared for His Bride.
Prophetic
Rehearsals
Within the Biblical Hebrew Traditions, and more importantly the Biblical Feasts given
through Moses, are Prophetic
Rehearsals. These rehearsals are the culmination of all that is within the Scriptures concerning the Messiah and His
Ministry. The Wedding and Hebrew Marriage Customs are only a taste of the forever events that are practiced each year, a shadow
of the coming of HaMashiach first and second, His ministry, and promises to all who follow
His example into the New Heaven of the Last and Eternal Day.
We are enthralled to hear
these last days events that were prophecies of things to come, spoken before the foundation of the universe, now to be witnessed
by those who follow and hear the tender words from our Messiah Yahoshua-יהושע, to watch, learn, witness, experience, and speak what the Set Apart Spirit has revealed.
No other people in History
are blessed with the culmination of all prophecy coming together as in these last days. We are called to be a witness of these
events as they consummate. We are chosen to be blessed by our witness.
The prophecies within the
wedding tradition are many. Most important are the First and Second Coming of HaMashiach
(The Messiah) and how they relate to each of us who await His arrival. Currently we wait
for the Voice of the Archangel and the Trumpet of יהוה. We anticipate His return in our own ways, expecting as we wait, Wondering what it will be like and how to respond
immediately, All the while we have the way clearly celebrated through history. We can visit this narrow path and its
Way in Scripture. We are able to get a visual, as we read the instruction manual for directions that most care not to
open, for lack of His True Still Small Voice gotten guidance. The instruction manual cannot be overlooked in our effort
to walk correctly, for without an Instruction Manual, we are left to the wiles of religious men and their distortions.
He did
not leave us comfortless. He left us with Prophetic Examples of what to expect, and His
Set Apart Spirit to guide us into all truth. Truth, that is there for the asking. The
Way, that is here for the seeing. The Door that is open and no man can shut. The Life that we can celebrate as often as we
pass the Cup of Betrothal in celebration of the Renewed Covenant:
The one that Scripture says, 'We do show Messiah's death till He comes.' His death freed us from the part of
the Instruction Manual-TORAH that told us. once divorced and married to another He could not marry us again. That Law
separated us from eternal life. We were lost in our rebellion and whorings with strange elohim. We had no way
back to our first estate. We were divorced, the papers were signed, and we were lost. Now, all we needed was for
our Beloved Husband to remove the Law that separated us and forbad us a marriage again to our first Husband-a way back to
eternal life with Him. We were bound gy that part of TORAH until the death of our Husband. The part of TORAH that
condemned us, also released us, it only took the fulfilling of that law to be free, we would be eligible again to marry
Him anew. Our Betrothal at The Last Supper was the same as at the first, we are again a Bride in Waiting.
Working on our wedding dress, keeping our dowrey, accumulating enough OIL for the journey, when the Call from the Best Man-Shout
from the ArchAngel in the middle of the night announces, "The Bride Groom Commeth."
The Atonement Has Been Paid. His Death gave us new life that we now can remarry our Husband. Our divorce was annulled at
His death, as a Will goes into force at the death of the Testator. We are now betrothed and soon will come Yahoshua יהושע - המשיח HaMashiach Who Is Abba
Father יהוה for His Betrothed Bride. There is Joy that comes with knowing His Word will never fail, and a place has been prepared for
us at Our Wedding Feast.
How we come to know Him
is unimportant, for once within His grip we are sure in our efforts to be there, in His time, to celebrate the most wonderful
event in Heaven's History. We will be there because of the promise at Betrothal: Let not your heart be troubled. In My Father's house there are many rooms, if not
I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again to receive
you to myself, that where I am, you might be also. And where I go you know, and the Way you know. (John 14:1-4)
That Yahoshua HaMashiach - יהושע המשיח is The Bridegroom is found many
times in Scripture. John the Baptist is the Best Man, John 3:29, He that has the bride is the
bridegroom, but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears Him, rejoices greatly because of the voice of the bridegroom.
So this joy of mine is complete, John heard
and announced to those invited.
Can
you make the children of the bride chamber fast, while the bridegroom is still with them? But the days will come, when the
bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days. (Luke 5:34-35)
For the past 2000 years Messiah
has been preparing our individual room, our Bridal Chamber. All who have heard and learned of the Father will come to Me, said He, John 6:45. We the Bride
are now in waiting, preparing our Wedding Robes and our lamps for that glorious Shout from
the Archangel, and the Trumpet of YHVH.
(Isaiah 54:5) For your Maker is your Husband, יהוה of Hosts is His Name.
Who
can be saved?
Our Jewish Messiah said, I am sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
(Mt: 15-24) When Yahoshua HaMashiach יהושע המשיח sent His
Apostles, He said, Do not go into the way of the gentiles, but rather go to the lost sheep of the
house of Israel. (Mt 10: 5-6)
Contrary to popular teachings, there is only one
Covenant People, Israel. Today, many think that the Israel have been replaced
by the Church (Christianity) but fail to view all Scripture and let Scripture interpret Scripture.
Division of The Two Houses (Ezk 37:16-20) And you, son of man, take a stick for yourself and
write on it, For Yahuda and for the children of Israel, his companions. Then take another stick and write on it, For Yosef,
the stick of Ephraim, and all of the house of Israel, his companions. Then bring them together for yourself into one stick,
and they shall become one in your hand. And when the children of your people speak to you, saying, Won't you show us what
you mean by these? Say to them Thus says the Master יהוה, See, I am taking the stick of Yosef, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes
of Israel, his companions. And I shall give them unto him, with the stick of Yahudah, and make them one stick, and they shall
be one in My hand. And the sticks on which you write shall be in your hand before their eyes.
To Ephraim, (Jer 2:18,
21) I planted you a choice vine, a completely faithful seed. How have you then turned yourself before
Me into the degenerate shoots of a foreign vine?
Because of the lust Ephraim had for Paganism, they were scattered
into Assyria and from there to the rest of the world. Ephraim was divorced from her Husband for her whoring, that she be released
from the sin of adultery. If she marries another, which 10-Israel did, Scripture
says that she then cannot marry her Husband again. The Sacrifice and death of Messiah blotted that out, for she is bound only
until the death of her husband. That accomplished, Ephraim is now legally eligible to marry her Messiah. She was never forsaken,
but was divorced for her whoring. Now Ephraim, who was scattered among the Goyim for 2730 years, needs to 'come out of Her/Gentiles,'
Rev 18:4, and return to the Faith once delivered to her, for her Betrothal at the Last
Supper, places her in waiting for her Husband. The beginning of our Covenant and whom we wait for is determined from which
cup we drink, and from that determines the works that flow from within, and that beginning is determined by the Cup from
which we DRINK.
When will we return to
the faith that was once delivered to us-His people, recover our roots, and begin to follow Messiah יהושע as He commanded? To keep the commandments, which are not grievous, is to show we love
Him. The Ten Commandments, is the Covenant with All Israel. He also spoke these instructions
before He went back to His Father's House to begin preparing our Bridal Chamber. When we discover our Roots we can begin to
hear and follow; When we begin to keep the Feasts that were instituted forever, and give up the paganism that drove us out
of the promised land and into Assyria, then Yahudah-the Jews will turn to jealousy, Romans 10:19, 11:11, when they see
Ephraim keeping The Commandments as Messiah Commanded, and the Feasts
of YHVH from Lev 23. The
'Stick of Yosef/Joseph' which is in the hand of Ephraim will one day be united with the 'Stick of Yahauda'-Judah and they
both will be one in His hand.
Judah was never divorced, they remain His Wife. Ten Israel returned
not, and after the prophecy that separated her for 390 years was completed without her return to her first estate, the
Prophecy that multiplied her penalty Sevenfold took over Lev 26, and she was scattered for a total of 2,730 years ending in
the fall of 1997. Ten Israel-divorced Ephraim-Stick of Joseph, began her return to her roots and today await the return
of her Beloved Groom to come for her with the Shout of the Best Man/Arch-Angel and the Trumpet/Shofar of YHVH, the same having
been rehearsed for many centuries in the Scripture Custom of the Hebrew Wedding.
The Renewed
Covenant goes into effect when all Israel are back in the Land of Israel, the Land promised to them from the Euphrates to
the Nile.
“For this is the Covenant I
shall make with the House of Israel after those days, declares YHVH: I shall put My Torah in their inward
parts, and write it on their hearts. And I shall be their Elohim, and they shall
be My people.” Yirmeyahu 31:33. In V-35 we read, “Thus says YHVH,
who gives the sun for a light by day, and the laws of the moon and the stars by night, who stirs up the sea and its waves
roar – YHVH of hosts is His Name:” V-36 “If these laws vanish from
before Me,” declares YHVH, “then the seed of Israel shall also cease from being a nation before Me.”
When Yisra'el (Ya'akov-Jacob) gave the blessing to the sons of Yosef, he crossed
his hands that Ephraim receive the blessing of the first born, for Yosef had placed Ephraim in front of Ya'akov's left hand
that Menashsheh receive the blessing being the First Born. When Yosef took hold of his fathers hand to remove it from the
head of Ephraim to the head of Menashsheh (Menasseh), Yisra'el said, I know my son, I know. He also becomes a people, and he also is great. And yet, his younger
brother is greater than he, and his seed is to become (Melo HaGoyim) the completeness of the nations. (Fullness of the Gentiles.) Bereshit 48:19.
When we translate Scripture
and let Scripture interpret Scripture, the Message will become truth in our hearing. We can search far and wide for Truth
but there is no better place for the Truth to be told than from the Author of Truth Himself. There have been authors from
time immemorial who have written more books on truth than can be imagined. Through Time we have interpreted them from a man
made system of greed and selfishness. The time that has come is not beyond learning more than our authors and translators
have written, for we are at a time of bitter ends where all Scripture prophecy is coming to a climax before our eyes.
We look at the last supper
from our own point of understanding and see that there is much to be learned from that example. We are here to witness all
of the prophecies coming together and look back at the Last Supper event for a clue to
some of our questions. The Betrothal at the Last Supper keeps for us a vivid witness that our Messiah Yahoshua remembered
the covenant that He made with us from Torah and came to revisit that Covenant, and reestablish us as His Bride in waiting.
The Cup of Betrothal was not a small thing then, and is not a small thing now, for it is the promise that He will
come again and take us home from where He came, to plan and promise as all grooms in the past have done before Him. We have
that promise for an everlasting covenant that will not fail, for He is our Husband and we His Bride.
Waiting has become second
nature to those of us who have Him living inside, a promise fulfilled within each who have given all that they are to Him
in complete abandon, and wait with patience for that glorious day. As we wait we are busy enough with plans being made for
the war that is about to explode into a global conflagration and involve all who are alive today.
Many will not be prepared
for this war from being asleep to these prophecies. Religious leaders have preached an erroneous doctrine of Rapture to the
unsuspecting, and caused slumber to invade believers to the point of confusion, even though they are aware from within that
this is true, they continue to sleep according to the teachings of men, who for their own gain have scattered the flock into
unbelief. Instead of searching out these prophecies for themselves, they have hoped for the easy way out and will result in
a horrific showdown with the anti-messiah and what he has prepared for the followers of his false doctrines.
This will not be the time
of trouble that is prophesied in Scripture. It will be the showdown between Messiah and anti-Messiah, and we will be caught
up between the fray and the battle for the minds of men. In that light, it will not be a wonderful time to be here, for the
deception will be even greater than in the past. The minds of most men have been polluted with the leaven of anti-messiah,
and cannot see what is about to befall the entire world.
Because men have been expecting
a release from authority, they have become prey to the predators that lay in wait for half-asleep believers to just let them
have their way, global dominion over all men.
We have been brought here
under the authority of YHVH
to be a witness in these last days, but because of slumber, there are few to carry that authority to the enemy. We
have become outnumbered by large numbers, and those who do retain YHVH's Authority will be even farther stretched to maintain in the ferocity of the fray.
Revelation, Daniel, Ezekiel,
Zechariah, Micah, Malachi to name a few, teaches us the event that is to befall the entire world. The sleepers have yawned
at the warnings, caring not to prepare for two reasons. Their pastors have preached the out of here doctrine before any trouble,
or they have been embarrassed to prepare for fear of reprisals from piers, being chastised for not believing the false doctrines,
even being thrown out of their assemblies. Pier pressure has taken its toll and unfortunately both will suffer the consequences.
Our Messiah, Who is יהוה in the Flesh, came and warned of the problems ahead. Few have
paid attention, most just looking for the easy way out, even angered that there would be another way, bitter when it comes
to pass that they are of the unprepared virgins in prophecy.
The enemy, although having
not one original thought, has been successful in causing slumber among the masses, but events that are about to commence will
awaken them, and although time is short many will find their place in the wilderness of Revelation Twelve, partially prepared
but burdened with those around them who cared not to listen.
Why will all of this come upon our generation? We were placed here for this time. We have been given a mandate to make Yahudah jealous, Rom 11:11. We
are here to express what has blinded many through religion. We are here to write His-Story in the making and to usher in the
New Heaven and the New Earth. We have been placed here for the culmination of end time prophecy as witnesses for the quickly
approaching eternity. We have been chosen to go through these last days in the Faith that we will survive into the New Millennium
and populate the earth during the One Thousand Year Reign ofYHVH Yahoshua HaMashiach -
יהוה
יהושע המשיח there to survive and populate the earth until יהוה returns and ushers us home. Rev. 20:4 and they lived
and reigned with Messiah for a thousand years.
Hoshea 5:15, 6:1-3, I shall go, I shall return to My place, until they confess their guilt and seek My Face, in their distress
diligently search for Me, Come, and let us turn back to יהוה. For He has torn but He does heal us, He has stricken but He binds us
up. After two days He shall revive us, on the third day He shall raise us up, so that we live before Him. So let us know,
let us pursue to know יהוה. His going forth is as certain as
the morning. And He comes to us like rain, like the latter rain watering the earth.
After Two Days
He will revive us, not Rapture us. On the Third day He will raise us up. After two days is the Seventh Millennium. The
Jewish Messiah came on the Fourth Day so after two more days is the Seventh. The Eighth is the final and eternal
day, as in the Feast of Sukkotחג הסוכו . He returns on the eighth day, the
Last Great Eternal Day Shemini Atzeret - שמיני עצרת the day our Messiah was circumcised, and our veil will be lifted, and we will see
Him as He is, there to be with Him for the remainder of Eternity. Everything the Jewish Messiah-YHVH in the flesh said
or did was prophetic, either in pre-Messianic scripture or in Messianic scripture.
And
I went to the messenger and said to him, Give me the little book. And he said to me, Take and eat it, and it shall make your
stomach bitter, but it shall be as sweet as honey in your mouth. And I took the little book out of the messenger's hand and
ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it, my stomach was made bitter. Rev 10:9-11
and he said to me, you have to prophecy again concerning many peoples and nations and tongues and sovereigns.
Today, we as a people have
been waiting for our Messiah's imminent return in spite of all of the evidence against His Coming this soon. We have been
lulled to sleep by religious men and doctrines of demons. We have longed for our precious Messiah for so long that we have
been taken unaware by the enemy. Now we are faced with the Anti Messiah who will come exactly as we have expected Messiah.
Anti Messiah will come in the name of the one we have been erroneously prepared to accept, and he will further deceive many
with signs and wonders that were given him to perform in the sight of men. This is where the wheat and the tares will be sorted
out; where we should be covered with Favor and the opportunity to choose with eyes wide open. Our hearts will give us away,
and we will be powerless to go against it. We will be seen for what/who we have been all of our lives. We belong to יהוה or we are children of the evil one. His has been our determination all of our lives and we will not be able to hide
our hearts, for where our hearts are, is where our
treasure lays also.
Nothing has been kept secret
from the foundation of the Earth. We have made our choices and we will have to live with those choices and no one can or will
be able to stand against יהוה - YHVH on that day. Our choices have been made
on a daily basis and those who stand in judgment will have nothing to say in their defense.
That day is fast approaching
and there is nowhere to hide. We will be found out, and for many the surprise will be frightening but spiritually expected.
Choices have been made and consequences will be suffered. The choices made determine the consequences. It is as easy as that.
'As you have judged so will you be Judged.'
Now may I make a suggestion?
Time is short, to short
for a thorough restudy of all that we should have been attending to these last few years. Take your Bibles that are in the
names of Heathen gods and throw them away. There are Sacred name Scriptures available from a few sources that are not expensive. Search the Internet for Sacred Name Bibles where you can digest the Word without having
to read abominations that were warned in Torah to avoid. We have instructions in Scripture to not even allow the names of
pagan and man's invented names to fall from your tongues. Rid yourself of idol
worship violating the Second Commandment, and the FIRST as well that we have no strange elohim in Abba
YHVH's Face. Rid
yourself of the pagan ineffable name doctrine adopted by religious men with diabolical agendas.
Become strong again in
your Faith, which comes by Hearing the Word. Hear the Word without leaven and false names that pollute and abominate our Temple,
that we make room for our Husband, our Precious Husband, and 'Be There' in purity, for all of your iniquities will be washed
away with repentance.
